Traditional Chinese medicine encompasses several methods designed to help patients achieve and maintain health. Along with acupuncture, TCM incorporates adjunctive techniques such as acupressure and moxibustion; manipulative and massage techniques such as tui-na and gua-sha; herbal medicine; diet and lifestyle changes; meditation; and exercise (often in the form of qigong or tai chi).

Kiiko Matsumoto Style Acupuncture, was developed by Kiiko Matsumoto over the past two decades in North America. KM style acupuncture utilizes a systematic, easy to learn, palpatory method which is designed to provide instant feedback. When using this system, a KM Style practitioner follows a palpation sequence, which both establishes a diagnosis and suggests several treatment options.

Esoteric Acupuncture is a form of acupuncture focused on supporting and assisting our own spiritual and energetic growth. It is primarily intended for those who are in good physical health already and are actively engaged in some type of spiritual, religious or energetic practice. Whereas traditional acupuncture focuses on treating the body or the emotions, Esoteric Acupuncture works on a more subtle level to awaken our own inner potentials.

Acupuncture Physical Medicine draws from Classical Chinese acupuncture in which a focus on acupuncture meridians is central. Acupuncture meridians are the pathways of energetic circulation along which acupuncture points are located. In Classical Chinese acupuncture, the practitioner looks for signs of over-activity or under-activity, and obstructions in meridian circulation, and then corrects the imbalances and blockages.

Fine needles are placed at a variety of acupuncture points on the face, neck and around the eyes to stimulate the body’s natural energies, or Qi. Since muscle groups are addressed, as well the acupuncture points, the face lifts itself, via the acupuncture points, through the muscles toning and tightening action. The needles also stimulate blood circulation and collagen production, which improves facial color.
